Project Showcase

Shanta Synergies has worked on various infrastructure and implementation projects using innovative technologies to make municipal infrastructure work for the people. The energy and power projects expertise has helped local governments deliver sustainable solutions to the citizens. The dedication to water supply and power projects stems from keen desire to use the latest technology to make lives comfortable and easy.

1998

The first project was to improve the water supply to Kolkata Municipal Corporation (KMC). The flow and pressure management technology was used to ensure consistent availability of water. Bulk meters for Large Industrial, Commercial, and Institutional (ICI) consumers to monitor water usage and pay appropriate water taxes were also installed, thereby increasing revenue for the corporation.

2012

Continuing services to KMC, the next project was the installation of flow meters. The ADB-funded project was, “Procurement, Installation, Commissioning, Testing, Calibration & Training of Flow Meters through international competitive bidding”. It was an integral part of the Kolkata Environmental Improvement Project (KEIP).

2012

Shanta Synergies successfully completed the redevelopment of a market and commercial enclave, AMP Vaisaakkhi. It was a project under PPP for Bidhannagar Municipality that focused on rehabilitating a slum market.

2015

Focusing on KMC services, the company completed the Flow management system for comprehensive distribution. It was a part of the JnNURM project under the command zone of 30 MGD Dhapa WTP.

2016

Successfully reconstructed the Ramrik Das Haralalka Hospital to provide better medical services for KMC.

2016

The subsidiary, FSIPL, partnered with Silver Spring Networks Inc, USA, to set up RF Mesh Canopy within Kolkata. It spawned a 15 sq km radius and created 25000 Smart End Points. Smart Electricity Meters are installed in compliance with IS 16444. Smart water meters, smart street lights, garbage sensors, temperature & environment sensors, and more are also commissioned as a part of the project. The smart endpoints communicate using RF. Multiple vendors for procurement are used, so the utility will never be involved in a vendor lock-in situation.

2017

FSIPL partnered with Silver Spring Networks Inc, USA, to replace 2,00,000+ energy meters with smart meters. These are installed in the city of Kota, Rajasthan. Regular energy meters are replaced with smart meters for the entire city according to the directions from Kota Electricity Distribution Limited, a subsidiary of CESC Ltd. GIS capture technology and data from the in-house development tab are used to replace smart meters quickly and cost-effectively. KEDL could use real-time data from the first day of the Smart meter rollout.

2019

Water Supply System Instrumentation and Information Technology Upgrade project for KMC was the next project. This was commissioned by the Kolkata Environment Improvement Trust, an ADB-funded project. The focus of this project was to make the systems transparent to make monitoring water consumption in Kolkata easier. The water usage was made accountable, and data was accessible for KMC in real time.
